The Migration Legislation Amendment (Sponsorship Measures) Legislation has now become law. This legislation provides a stronger enforcement regime for the government so as to enforce companies' sponsorship obligations.
Regulations need to be drafted to create a complete legislative regime and companies need to be vigilent in reviewing their arrangements.
Combined with the Department's increasing vigilance with its monitoring arrangements, companies stand a greater chance of having their company sponsorship status cancelled. The effects of this could include cancellation of all 457 visa holders approved under that sponsorship.
457 Business Long Stay visa applications can no longer be made at an Australian Overseas Diplomatic Mission. They must be submitted to an office of the Australian Government's Immigration Office in Australia . We can lodge these applications on your behalf, whether the visa applicant is based in Australia or offshore.
